Dave Genevro

General Manager - Barefoot Resort and The Dye Club

Dave is originally from the small town of Brockport, Pennsylvania. He has been with Barefoot since its inception, starting as one of the original golf professionals and has worked his way into the position of General Manager. His passion for playing golf has evolved into a dedication to offering a great golf experience and customer service levels well above the guests expectations. Dave and his staff are always striving to improve in all aspects of the golf operation.

Mike Ross

Director of Golf - Barefoot Resort

Mike is originally from Roseau, Minnesota. He has been with Barefoot since the very beginning. Having played golf and hockey since childhood, Mike is not only a great athlete, but he understands what being a professional is all about. His knack for solving problems has earned him the reputation as a true communicator. Mike is also an outdoorsman with fishing and hunting being his true passion.

Rich Bartram, PGA

Head Golf Professional and Director of Marketing- Resort

Rich Bartram got his start at Barefoot in February of 2008. During his time at the resort, he has attained a keen eye for golf operations. This has led him into his current role of Head Golf Professional. His past positions at Barefoot include; Outside Operations, Assistant Golf Professional- Outside Operations Manager, Tournament Director, 1st Assistant Golf Professional and Director of Marketing.

Rich is originally from Fairfax, VA. He has worked at numerous golf facilities back in his hometown from municipal to member equity owned private clubs. Rich perused his passion for the game and moved to Myrtle Beach. He attended and graduated from the San Diego Golf Academy (Golf Academy of America) in April, 2007. There he earned an Associate's degree in Golf Complex Operations and Management. He continued his studies through the PGA of America and was elected as a PGA class "A" member in August 2013. He is enrolled in the Certified Professional Program, a career-enhancing educational curriculum that supports the goals of PGA members who are committed to continuously improving their business and teaching skills to meet the increasing demands of the golf industry.

Travis Dutcher, PGA

Head Golf Professional -The Dye Club

Travis is originally from Edmeston NY. After graduating at the top of his class from the San Diego Golf Academy, he joined the Barefoot staff in February 2006. He recently was elected as a PGA class A member. Our merchandise and retail department are in good hands with Travis as the team leader.

Wes Nelson

Membership Director

Barefoot Resort - Wes is originally from Greensboro, NC but has lived in the Myrtle Beach area for over 27 years. From an early age, Wes realized his passion for the game of golf and has enjoyed pursuing the sport over the years. His interest not only with golf, but also with the tourism industry, led him to pursue a career within the field. In 2010, Wes graduated from Coastal Carolina University receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Resort Tourism Management. Upon joining the Barefoot Resort staff in 2011, Wes has acquired experience and strengthened skills through the involvement in a variety of areas including reservations, accounting, and membership.  As the Membership Director, Wes is able to combine his enjoyment for golf along with his dedication to provide excellent customer service and develop lasting relationships.

Sean Reardon

Assistant Golf Professional- PGA Apprentice

Sean is originally from Lancaster, PA. He grew up playing all sports and loved to compete. He excelled in soccer before turning his attention to golf. A few years after high school, Sean decided to pursue golf as a career. He graduated from the Golf Academy of America in Phoenix with a degree in Golf Operations and Management. Upon graduating, Sean accepted a position at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. He worked there for 3 years and was a shift supervisor for the outside service staff. Sean joined our staff in March of 2016 and is excited to be a part of this great team.

James Gillespie

Merchandise Director

James Gillespie is originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba and has 15 years playing golf experience. James is a graduate from The Golf Academy of America, being the Valedictorian of his class in 2010. He also holds a Liberal Arts Degree from West Chester University and a Masters of Business Administration from Penn State. A 4.0 Hdcp player with a complete understanding of golf swing fundamentals.

James is currently working towards his Class A membership within the PGA. His hobbies include sports, going to the beach, and just hanging out.

Dan Lorig

Assistant Golf Professional- PGA Apprentice

Dan Lorig is originally from Cleveland, OH and has been golfing since he was 8 years old. A natural athlete, Dan excelled in many sports, but spent most of his youth playing ice hockey. When a knee injury took away the possibility of playing college hockey, Dan decided to pursue a career in the golf industry. Dan also has vast experience in the food service/hospitality industry where he worked as a bartender and bar manager for several years in Cleveland. Aside from golf, Dan also has a great passion for music. He teaches guitar and also plays piano and the drums. He is also a die-hard Cleveland sports fan.

Dan spent 2 years in the pro shop at River Oaks Golf Plantation before joining the Barefoot Resort team in April of 2016. In December of 2015, he graduated from the Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach.  He is currently enrolled in the PGA apprenticeship program and also plans on pursuing a TPI certification. Dan's experience in both the golf and hospitality industries paired with his high level of customer service have made him a great fit to the Resort pro shop staff.

Trey Evans

Tournament Director (Resort)

Trey is originally from Summerville, SC.  He attended Summerville High School where he excelled in baseball as well as academics.  Upon graduating high school, he attended Coastal Carolina University where he walked onto the baseball team.  He graduated from CCU with a business degree in finance and marketing.  His excitement for learning something new and the joy of competition is what drove him to get into the golf business.

Mike Ulman

Assistant Golf Professional- PGA Apprentice

Formerly an Assistant Golf Professional at The Dye Club, Mike joined the Resort team in March 2016.  Originally from Long Island N.Y. Mike attended college at Coastal Carolina University here in Myrtle Beach receiving a scholarship to play baseball. While attending college Mike grew a love for the game of golf.

During his time at Coastal Carolina University Mike received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration majoring in Finance. He worked as a Financial Advisor and Mortgage Consultant, after ten years in the Finance industry Mike elected to pursue his true passion, golf and attend the Golf Academy of America. He earned his Degree in Golf Complex Operations and Management and certificates for advanced teaching, club repair/club fitting and tournament operations. Mike also has experience in the hospitality and entertainment industry in Myrtle Beach where he held many positions from food and beverage management to lead entertainer for a nightly show at a successful entertainment complex.

He joined our staff at the Dye Club in the spring of 2014. Mike is beginning his studies toward the PGA Apprentice program and looks forward to earning his Class A membership into the PGA of America.

Travis Cedzidlo

Assistant Golf Professional

Travis is originally from the Chicago suburb of Melrose Park, IL. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Travis is an avid baseball and hockey fan. He played both sports as a kid, but ultimately gave them both up to turn his passion for golf into a career. When he is not at the golf course or tinkering with his golf clubs, you can find Travis cheering for his favorite Chicago sports teams.

Travis moved to the Myrtle Beach area in 2014 to attend the Golf Academy of America, from which he graduated in April 2016 with his Associate's Degree in Golf Complex Operations and Management. While at the Golf Academy, Travis also received certificates in Tournament Operations and General Management. Travis spent two years in the golf shop at Myrtle Beach National Golf Club before joining the Resort Pro Shop Staff in April 2017.

Mark Mullery

Assistant Golf Professional

Mark is originally from Danville, PA. He attended Danville Area High School where he excelled in both baseball and golf. He enjoyed all sports as a kid and loved competition which is what ultimately drove Mark to choose the path he is on now; the road to a golf professional. Upon graduating high school, he moved to Myrtle Beach at the age of 17 to pursue his passion in golf and attended the Golf Acadmey of America. While at the Golf Academy, Mark played on the NCCGA National Team and made it to two National Championships. One in Glade Springs, West Virginia where his team took 4th in the nation and the other in Walt Disney, Florida where his team took 2nd in the nation. Mark graduated in December of 2016 with a players credential ribbon by having a plus 1.3 handicap along with an Associate's Degree in Golf Complex Operations and Management. His excitement for the game and joy of learning about the industry while at the Golf Academy is what drove him to join the Barefoot family as an Assistant Golf Professional. He plans on working towards his Class A membership within the PGA and continue his career in the golf business.

Logan Bartholomew

Assistant Golf Professional

Logan is originally from Locust Grove, VA. He grew up playing many sports, soccer being his main focus. Logan played for the Olympic Development Program for two seasons and made it to the State Team both years.

Logan began golfing at the age of 14 and became very passionate about the sport. He later went to the Golf Academy of Myrtle Beach and graduated in August 2017. Joining the Barefoot Resort Facility shortly thereafter. Logan plans to pursue his Class A membership with the PGA and further his knowledge of the game.

Travis Dutcher, PGA

Jeff Fribance, PGA

1st Assistant Golf Professional -The Dye Club

Jeff is originally from Mystic CT. He did not pick up the game until his mid-twenties after having played hockey for most of his early life. Once he began playing however like most of us he was hooked. In 2008 he began working at Shennecossett Golf Course in Connecticut and started to gain experience in all aspects of the golf business. In 2011 He took the first assistant position at Pinewood Country Club in Slidell Louisiana refining his management, teaching, fitting, and club building skills under a Golf Digest Top 50 teaching professional. In 2013 Jeff moved to Myrtle Beach and began working as an assistant professional at The River Club in Pawley’s Island. In the spring off 2014 he joined our staff at the Dye Club. In September 2017 Jeff was elected as a full class A member of the PGA.

Jeff looks forward to using his wide range of experience to contribute to The Dye Club, as well as continue towards his goal of becoming a PGA master professional.

Justin Morris

Tournament Director- Dye

Justin is originally from Rocky Mount, VA. Justin picked up the game of golf as at teenager thanks to a childhood friend and decided he would make a career out of it. After completing High School he enrolled at the Golf Academy of America and moved to Myrtle Beach where he in December of 2013 he received his Degree in Business and Golf Complex Management from the Golf Academy of America.

Justin joined the staff of the Dye Club at Barefoot Resort in the spring of 2014. He is beginning the PGA Apprentice program process and is excited to advance his career in the golf business.

Amy Boyer

Restaurant Manager The Dye Club

Amy was born and raised right here in Myrtle Beach, SC. She has been with the company about two years. Working in the customer service industry for the past eighteen years, she’s dedicated to maintaining a happy and fun place not only for our members and guests but for our employees as well. She will always ensure an enjoyable experience as you visit The Dye Club. Amy loves the hands on aspect of working with people to make certain all their needs are met. She’s an expert at setting up for any function whether it’s a golf outing, wedding reception or dinner party. When Amy’s not working she loves to spend time with her beautiful family or reading when she can find the time.

Dave Bennett

Food & Beverage Director

Dave Bennett is originally from Waverly, N.Y. where he grew up as a competitive athlete and sports enthusiasts. Prior to joining the Barefoot team he was an Executive Chef in several high profile and distinguished restaurants. Dave's goals are to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction by anticipating guests' needs and providing accomplished food and beverage preparation, presentation and service for a variety of events.

Ginger Martin

Head Wait Staff

Ginger is originally from Myrtle Beach SC, one of the only locals on our staff. She has been with Barefoot since 2003. Always calm, cool and collected, Ginger is one of our most efficient and reliable team members. Away from Barefoot Ginger loves spending time and caring for her two beautiful sons.
