Former NFL great Dan Hampton and radio personality Dan McNeil heads to Barefoot Resort & Golf for Golf Tournament. Former Chicago Bear All-Pro Dan Hampton and Chicago sports radio veteran Dan McNeil will appear in a new golf event to be held at barefoot Resort & Golf in Myrtle Beach on Nov. 5-8. Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday and Chicago sports radio station 670 The Score are hosting the event named the Chicago Cup Team Challenge. Don Arndt of Franklin Park, IL, and Jim OKeefe of Hoffman Estates, IL, were named the winners of a four-day, three-night golf trip to Myrtle Beach for themselves and four friends where they will join Hampton, a 2001 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, and McNeil in a Windy City golf challenge held in Myrtle Beach.
OKeefe and his two friends will team up with Hampton on the Northside team to battle Arndt and friends, who will be joined by McNeil on the Southside team. To promote Spirit Airlines new direct flights between Chicago and Myrtle Beach that launched in March 2009, Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday and 670 The Score conducted an online contest to award a Myrtle Beach golf vacation to two listeners. Arndt, OKeefe and their friends will receive airfare courtesy of Spirit Airlines, golf at The Norman Course at Barefoot Resort & Golf and The Fazio Course at Barefoot Resort & Golf, accommodations at Myrtle Beach Yacht Club, a welcome reception and meals.
