Discover the essence of Lowcountry charm in Davis Love III’s design at Barefoot Resort’s Love Course. A proud Carolina native, Love incorporates local tradition and experiences into this stunning course. Holes 3-7 showcase recreated ruins of an old plantation home, adding historical allure to your golfing experience.
With generous fairways and plenty of room off the tee, the Love Course sets up for a confident and enjoyable round from the start. Often considered the most balanced of Barefoot Resort’s four championship courses, it places less pressure on driving accuracy and more emphasis on smart, well-executed approach shots. Inspired by Pinehurst No. 2, a longtime championship venue, the Love Course features similarly challenging green complexes that reward precision and creativity into the putting surfaces. This par 72 layout, playing just over 7,000 yards, provides a meaningful test for skilled players while remaining fair, playable, and fun for the everyday golfer.
Tee and fairways feature GN-1, a hybrid turf by Greg Norman Turf, while approach areas boast Tif-sport Bermuda grass. The greens showcase Champion UltraDwarf, and the rough areas feature 419 Bermuda grass. Embrace tradition, beauty, and a memorable golfing experience on the Love Course at Barefoot Resort.

All courses at Barefoot Resort & Golf and the driving ranges will be closed due to weather January 24th through January 27th. This will allow our team to properly cover and protect greens due to the forecasted rain, ice and overnight low temperatures over the next several days. Course conditions and the extended forecast will be evaluated on Monday, and we will communicate an anticipated reopening date at that time based on the expected weather conditions the second half of the week.
Pro shop hours during this time will be 7:30am to 4pm with the clubhouse restaurant open for food service from 10am to 3pm each day. This could change if weather causes unsafe conditions for our employees to travel to and from work.
